Andrei I. Ivanets Born in Minsk, he graduated from the Chemical Faculty of the Belarusian State University in 2006. From 2006 to 2019, he worked at the Institute of General and Inorganic Chemistry of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus, where he worked his way up from junior researcher to Deputy Director for Scientific Work.
From 2013 to 2022, Chairman of the Council of Young Scientists of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus, since May 2019 – Chief Scientific Secretary of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus.
Andrei I. Ivanets, Doctor of Chemical Sciences (2017), Corresponding member of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus (2021), Professor (2022), is a well-known scientist in the field of colloidal chemistry and adsorption. Author of over 250 scientific papers, including 2 monographs, 8 patents.
In 2019-2022, Deputy Chairman of the Standing Committee on Education, Science, Culture and Social Development of the Council of the Republic of the National Assembly of the Republic of Belarus of the 7th convocation.
On February 10, 2022, President of the Republic of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko appointed Andrei Ivants as Minister of Education.
