UAV and tactical medicine to be studied by 10th-graders as part of pre-conscription training
The study of unmanned aerial vehicles and tactical medicine will be included in the updated curriculum for "pre-conscription and medical training" for Belarusian tenth-graders in the new academic year. This was announced by Deputy Minister of Education of Belarus Alexander Kadlubai.

In anticipation of the new 2026/2027 academic year, a series of seminars and meetings on key areas of work for schools and kindergartens has begun in Minsk. The meeting of the "Pre-conscription Training of Students" section was held at Military Unit 5448 of the Internal Troops of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Belarus.
As the deputy minister emphasized, the school education system continues to develop in the new academic year in accordance with the objectives set by the Head of State.

"No fundamental changes are planned for the new academic year. At the Republican Pedagogical Council, the President set a clear objective: we are committed to the consistent improvement of education. This concerns technical adjustments to curricula and programs. No new subjects are being added, and there is no redistribution of subjects across grades. The main goal of today's dialogue platforms is to discuss with local experts specific issues that require attention before September 1st," explained Alexander Kadlubay.

The Deputy Minister placed special emphasis on the content of the course "pre-conscription and medical training." Timely and practice-oriented changes have been made to the tenth-grade curriculum.

"We've strengthened the practical component. For tenth-graders, the program includes a 10-hour course on learning and mastering unmanned aerial vehicles. For girls, the practical portion of their medical training has been significantly expanded, incorporating elements of tactical medicine. We've shifted the balance toward practical training and increased its volume. We've moved away from pure theory and toward concrete skills needed in real-world situations," said the Deputy Minister.

Alexander Kadlubay praised the experience of conducting 10-day field training camps for tenth-graders, which this year, for the first time, took place in an updated off-site format at military bases and health facilities.
"We received exceptionally positive feedback from the young men themselves and colleagues from the law enforcement agencies of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the State Border Committee, the Ministry of Emergency Situations, and the Ministry of Defense. This was especially true for those who completed field training on-site, rather than in educational institutions. This format ensures maximum acquisition of practical skills and promotes team building. Collaboration with military unit 5448 is one of the best examples in the country, and we see our goal as scaling this experience as widely as possible throughout Belarus," the Deputy Minister emphasized.

According to him, parallel platforms are operating in the capital to address issues of education quality, school education, deviant behavior prevention, and the identification of family dysfunction.
The preschool education system has also received attention. Alexander Kadlubai noted the growing demand for nursery groups for children aged 2 to 3 years.

"More than 500 such groups are currently operating successfully across the country. We see demand from young mothers who want to return to work earlier, and we strive to provide this opportunity in every district. Methods of working with young children, ensuring their safety, and the qualifications of teachers are being discussed separately. Furthermore, kindergarten directors have been tasked with working with parents on group composition in advance to prevent situations where a child does not end up in the desired institution," the Deputy Minister noted.

The work of the sections, attended by more than 500 specialists from across the country, will continue. The results of the expert discussions will be presented at a large-scale plenary seminar-meeting chaired by the Minister of Education tomorrow.
